In this particular case, the study was in regards to how registered voters responded to ageism versus racism. Well in this case it appears that more voters would vote against McCain because of his age than against Obama because of his race.
Personally, I have to admit that if I were part of the study I would probably fall along the same lines. In this case, my reasons have very little to do with politics or ideology, being republican or democrat, liberal or conservative, but looking at the tolls of the office. Here are pictures of the last two presidents from the start of their term and near the end. This is not to say that someone older cannot run, but I think that everyone should be realistic about how the stress of the office will take a toll on the health of that person, especially with everything that is happening today.

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; Basically the study compiled by Ipsos MediaCT for IGN Entertainment was used to dispel the stereotype that people who play video games are mostly teenagers and loners. It has found that gamers really are a diverse group including people from all ages, married couples and families. You can find a link to an article here, video game study. I for one can definitely attest to that as I grew up playing video games and still enjoy a game or two now and then, you know when I am not working or studying. I also know that with the wide variety of games the social stigma is gone too, as I have had many gaming nights throughout the years with men, women, couples and singles. In fact, with the introduction of the Nintendo Wii, I know of many seniors who have regular bowling nights using the wii sports game at old folks home, how cool is that!? Not to mention my wife and I bought a Nintendo DS for my mother-in-law, at her request of all things, just this past Christmas. So as you can see, I definitely agree with this study, and I think that the old stereotype of the lonely teenager playing by himself is better left in the past.

On another note, I have add this blog to Globe of Blogs which you can reach here.

Why "Recent Study Finds..."?

Why did I decide to name this blog “Recent Study finds…”? Basically, over the years as I have surfed the web, I am always amazed about the latest headlines for a new study that has been conducted. Sometimes, I find the articles genuinely interesting and informative, but honestly sometimes I think either one of two thoughts – “you had to do a study to tell you the obvious” or “someone spent money and time to find that out”.
